Why you should book a Baby Milestone photoshoot ?

8 months old baby girl with long lashes

Baby milestone or also called Sitter sessions, are often missed out but it’s such a beautiful age to capture.

Chunky thighs, smiley faces, big eyes looking at their mama with so much love.

They are starting to sit unaided, some of them can crawl already and start exploring the world.

I love capturing this age because it’s simply pure joy and love. They are always so happy during the session and it doesn’t take a lot to get a smile or giggle out of them !

When is the best age for this type of session ?

Between 7 months old to 10 months old.

How many outfits can we have ?

Baby can have up to 3 outfits change during the session

Can I be in the photo too ?

Of course ! I will always encourage the parents to join in and be in the photos as it makes precious memories to hang on your wall.

How long is the session ?

Around 45 minutes, up to 1 hour. We don’t want it to be too long for baby in case they get tired or hungry. Ideally we plan it right after their nap and after they have been fed so they can just relax and have all the fun during the session !

What happens during the session ?

This session is baby-led. I will get some of my little wooden toys out for baby to play with them.

I usually have one of the parent next to me doing some silly noises, singing or dancing is enough ! So be ready to be silly !

We will listen to some music ( if they have a favourite song, don’t hesitate to tell me !), we will dance, we will play with our hands.

We can use some of my props too, like a little stool, a chair or a cushion on the floor. A blanket is a good one too to play peek-a-boo.

We will do some tummy time too, unless they are already over it and prefer to crawl !

This is the best age to capture their portrait, their lashes, their little hands and little toes. All the little details, we usually don’t think to photograph as parents but we might regret not having a memory of in the future.

Trust me, you will never regret having those memories on your wall.
