How to create your Newborn photo album in 5 steps
Creating a photo album with your precious photos is the best way to save your memories forever.
Think about your kids or grand-kids, when they will find it and turn the pages to discover how little they once were and how young you were as a parent !
I have 3 different types of album.
This post is to help you understand the different steps when it comes to create your tailored album.
The good news is that you don’t need to have bought all the images you would like in your album. For instance, you can have selected just the x10 digitals included in your package but then decide to order an album. You just need to select more favourites to let me know which one you want in the album (you won’t get the additional digital, they will only be featured in your album - unless you decide to upgrade and buy the digitals too)
1/ Decide which album you prefer out of my three options
You might have had some time to look at my samples during your session and that’s amazing. If not, here is the blog post which explains the differences between the 3 albums I offer.
2/ Decide how many pages you would like
The minimum is 20 pages and the maximum is 50 pages.
We can fit from 1 image across 2 pages or up to 5 images over 2 pages. So I would say ideally we don’t want more than 2 or 3 images for each single page, so it’s not too busy for the eye.
3/ Choose a cover
Choose the material and the colour you prefer as per below. I have limited options of colour to not overwhelm you with choice, but if there is a colour you really like and is not there, please ask me and I will let you know if the printer has it.
4/ Choose any personalisation options
This will depend on which type of album you go for, as some would allow more options for personalisation or not.
If your album has a personalised embossing, let me know the text you would like written on the cover.
5/ Select your photos for the album in your gallery
Use the little heart icon to select all the images you would like in your album. And voila, that’s it !
What’s next ?
I will then design your album online and send you a link to proof it.
If all is good, we send it to the printer for print.
Otherwise we can tweak the album. The best for that, is to jump on a zoom or google call to do it virtually together (that avoid a lot of back and forth emails , trust me !)
