4 meaningful family memories to capture
Do you ever find yourself looking back and wondering, How did that time fly by so fast? It feels like just yesterday, doesn’t it? If you feel this way, know that you’re not alone. I am often reflecting on how time is so fleeting, like a gentle blink of an eye.
You look at a photo of your little one as a baby and then realise sadly how much they have changed and you wish you could freeze time !
Our lives are filled with precious moments, each one more beautiful than the last. But nothing compares to the magic of starting a family. It’s a special chapter we’ve always dreamed of, overflowing with emotion, and wrapped in the purest, most unconditional love.
In my experience, there are four family milestones that are so incredibly meaningful, you’ll want to capture them forever. These moments are treasures you’ll hold close to your heart, and you won’t want to miss them for anything.
1/ Maternity
Do you remember that moment you check the test to see if you were pregnant and it was positive ?!
Discovering you’re pregnant is a moment like no other—an overwhelming mix of joy, wonder, and disbelief as you realise your life is about to change in the most beautiful way. It’s the start of a new chapter filled with dreams of tiny kicks, first cries, and unconditional love.
Capturing this moment with a photoshoot is so important because it freezes the magic of this milestone in time, allowing you to look back and remember exactly how you felt—the excitement, the hope, and the love that started even before you met your little one.
You might not feel pretty or comfortable towards the end of your pregnancy, but trust me you will never regret having these memories. I have a lot of clients coming for their second pregnancy and telling me they regret so much not having done a photoshoot for their first one. If you don;t do it for you, do it for them, as they will love looking back at these.
I have a Client’s wardrobe at your disposal with beautiful boho dresses from all over the world that fits all shapes and sizes. If you are looking for a Maternity photoshoot in Surrey, this is your sign !
2/ Newborn
The first few weeks will be a blur. They will be hard and you will be on survival mode. You will definitely forget how small they were.
Their tiny toes, tiny fingers, the flakes of their fresh skin on their feet, their little baby rolls and their fluffy head for some of them !
A newborn photoshoot in London is a beautiful way to preserve this tender, once-in-a-lifetime moment. It captures the innocence, the closeness, and the overwhelming joy of your growing family, giving you treasured memories to look back on long after these precious early days have passed.
I also have a client’s wardrobe for babies, so you will have peace of mind and don’t need to worry about finding something cute for him/her.
3/ Baby Sitter
I love this session as it’s when baby is starting to show their personality. Chubby cheeks, chunky thighs, baby rolls, big smile and giggle all the way.
A sitter session is the perfect way to capture this joyful milestone. As your baby sits up on their own, reaching for toys or flashing their first mischievous smiles, these moments are pure magic.
A photoshoot freezes this playful, adventurous stage in time, celebrating their growth and giving you precious memories to cherish forever.
I recommend it for 7 to 8 months old, when they can sit on their own or start crawling but not yet walking.
4/ Family
A family photoshoot is more than just pictures; it’s a celebration of your unique bond and the love that holds you all together. Every laugh, hug, and shared moment tells a story of connection and joy.
As life moves quickly, these photos become timeless keepsakes, capturing the essence of your family just as you are in this beautiful chapter.
It’s a chance to pause, embrace one another, and create memories you’ll treasure for a lifetime—reminders of the love that grows stronger with every passing year.
I usually recommend to have this session outdoor, so your little ones can run around everywhere and not be restricted to a small studio. This is perfect for any age. I will soon start offering outdoor sunset photoshoot, as this golden hour light is just perfect.
